Job Overview

- Administers environmental, health, and safety programs to meet regulatory requirements for all China locations.
- Act as the liaison between Labcorp and regulatory authorities during site inspections. Promote positive relationships with government agencies.
- Inspects facilities and operations for regulatory and company policy compliance.
- Responsible for China clinical development & commercialization services locations EHS Mgmt.
- Oversee critical EHS programs including, but not limited to Industrial Hygiene, Office Safety, Fire Safety, Hazardous Energy Control, Personal Protective Equipment, Risk and Hazard Identification and Prevention, and Emergency Planning and Response lead EHS Committee and Team activities, such as department safety teams, emergency response team, etc.
- Act as country wide Crisis Coordinator and Business Continuity Plan Lead, communicate with local government for company COVID safety precaution, promote vaccination based on local government requirement.
- Support Clients audit to introduce labcorp EHS system and Resiliency Program. Initiate, establish and cultivate mutually beneficial relationships with internal and external clients.
- Assists Corporate EHS Director by participating on corporate audit teams, and other duties as requested.
- Conducts accident and incident investigations.
- Actively promotes environmental, health, and safety activities, participates in committees and meetings, and provides miscellaneous services.
- Lead sustainability committee or project in the country.
- Communicate effectively with site management and employees.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education/Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in a Science or Technical Field and minimum of eight years EHS experience preferably in a laboratory or research and development environment; Advanced degree with 4 years EHS experience
- Professional Certification in a Safety, Industrial Hygiene, and Occupational Health or Environmental area preferred.
