- Responsible for enabling definition, implementation and impact assessment of Business Transformation strategy within and across operational groups, support functions, and business unit
- Reviews, drives and reports on projects from initiation through to completion to ensure achievement of key strategic business and financial goals
- Guides and instructs process improvement teams, directs timely completion of projects that support critical goals and customer satisfaction requirements, and serves as the departmental point of contact for specific project initiatives and best practices
- Leads process improvement Subject Matter Experts, ensures timely completion of projects that support critical business goals and customer satisfaction requirements
- Drives operational excellence by delivering global, scalable, integrated processes that drive increased quality and productivity, while reducing cost and time to meet the financial and strategic goals of the organization
- Works with business unit leaders to facilitate setting priorities, developing agendas and designing objectives.
- Ensures consistent and effective use of Lean Six Sigma, PMI and similar methodologies employed to solve key business problems. Serves as a departmental point of contact for Best Practice and methodology
- Mentors, coaches and challenges functional leadership in the use of tools, approaches and techniques to create process management and measurement systems and develop a process-centric mindset
- Develops and communicates business cases to support recommendations for change to current business practices and processes, and develops controls to monitor the progress associated with implementation of recommended changes

- Partners with multiple levels of the organization to identify and prioritize opportunities to improve customer satisfaction, enhance productivity, drive growth, further employee engagement and performance
- Partners with business leaders to ensure best practices are shared across the organization


- Masters or other advanced degree
- Trained and experienced with Process Consulting approaches; prior or current experience as a process consultant would be strongly preferred
- University/college degree (life science preferred) or certification in a related allied health profession (i.e. nursing, medical or laboratory technology) from an appropriately accredited institution
- Superior project management skills including an ability to plan and execute projects that meet cost, resource and outcome expectations; manage complex and/or competing priorities effectively; and meet commitments in an accurate and timely manner.
- Knowledge of clinical trial processes and systems applications to support operations would have an advantage
- Good knowledge of the relationship and regulatory obligation of the CRO industry with pharma and biotech companies


Minimum Required:
- Minimum of 12 years relevant clinical research experience in a pharmaceutical company/CRO, including at least four (4) years of related process management and consulting experience
- The candidate should be preferably an MBA from a reputed institute with strongly preferred proven quantitative, analytical, problem-solving, conceptual and critical thinking skills. Preference would be given to candidates who have worked in a consulting organization of repute as an independent business process consultant for 2-3 years.
- Business Process Management Consultant drives projects that cover a wide range of topics, from strategy to operations and act as a subject matter expert on process consulting, business process management and process re-engineering with a solid knack of technological enablement and improvements. Business Process Management Consultant owns the project to deliver the end recommendation with help from stakeholders from diverse functions.
- Typical activities involve performing analysis of the problems, including identifying and prioritizing issues for further analysis, synthesizing the insights from the analyses, developing recommendations based on the synthesis,  simplifying and optimizing processes by interfacing with IT, Finance,  change management and other stakeholders while creating, managing project plans and implementing the recommendations.

- Excellent communications skills, as demonstrated by presentation of problems to appropriate people in objective, honest and non-judgmental manner; matching influence strategies to the situation; delivering oral and written communications with clarity and impact. Presentation of data to senior leadership will be required
