  • Job Overview

    This position will be filled with an experienced individual who promotes and leads a quality driven culture across Covance Central Laboratory Services. The role involves regular internal and external audits, verification that all operations meet relevant standards/good practice guidelines, and acting as a consultant on all quality issues. This position also may lead and/or support departmental and/or company Special Projects/Initiatives

     

    Essential Job Duties:

                                                                    

    • Develop/Revise SOPs and Other Documents
    • Host/Support/Participate Client/Regulatory Audits *
    • Perform Internal/Vendor audits
    • Train and/or mentor other QA staff
    • Lead departmental and/or company special projects/initiatives
    • Provide Quality Issue support
    • Provide Regulatory/Industry/Company guidance support
    • Perform trending & risk assessments
    • Identify process improvement opportunities
    • Performs some aspects and/or training tasks:
    • Archive Administration
    • Process SOPs and other Documents
    • Participate or lead CAIR/RI investigations
    • Perform trending & risk management

    Experience:

    Minimum Required:

    4 or more years of relevant experience in the job discipline or in other quality/compliance roles. Individual contributor role in GCP environment. 

     

    Other required work-related experiences.

     

    Preferred working experience in in any of the following:

    • Good Clinical Practices (GCP).
    • College of American Pathologists (CAP)
    • Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA)
    • Quality Management System (QMS)

    Education/Qualifications

    Bachelors or Masters Degree in related field (lifesciences) is preferred. 

    Experience
