    Roles and responsibilities:-


    In the Commercial Data Analyst role you will be responsible for providing sales support to help keep our commercial organization focused on generating new business. Assist with Sales Operations and Business Development projects as needed, including sales lead forecasting and campaign reporting. Examples include but not limited to the following:

    • Providing knowledge about our competitors
    • Works closely with sales and functional leaders to develop and maintain the operational infrastructure and sales-related information systems and procedure
    • Identify and introduce new potential contacts and networks to the company to drive sales (laboratories, hospitals, KOLs, local influencers, advocacy groups, speakers, etc.)
    • Serve as “super user” of all Covance commercial tools, possessing the ability to leverage these tools to generate, inspect and supply data to the commercial team for the purpose of sales prospecting and targeting. Assist with researching and evaluating new tools and supporting business case for adoption and integration with existing tools & platforms, ex;
      • Covance CRM System (SFDC)
      • LinkedIn Sales Navigator
      • PharmSource
      • Citeline Suite
      • ZymeWire


    • Possess the ability to critically analyze data and provide insights and recommendations.
    • Coordinate with the Research & Development (R&D) Inside Sales group to align with account and business priorities;
      • Core member of the R&D inside sales group
      • Dotted lined to the R&D inside sales leader


    • Bachelor’s degree required in an Information Technology discipline or equivalent in work experience.
    • Trailheads specific to Sales cloud or Certificates desirable


    • Minimum 5 Years of related experience in the job discipline
    • Exposure to a Customer Relationship Management Tool; a Plus
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products such as Excel and PowerPoint
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information in an audience appropriate manner
    • Sets high standards of performance; assumes responsibility and accountability for successfully completing assignments
    • Sound judgment with effective decision making skills and the ability to solve problems independently
    • Ability to think and perform tasks independently
    • Ability to work within a virtual and a matrix environment
    • Effective planning, organizing and time management skills
